A few of weeks ago, Huawei introduced the Watch 3 as well as Watch 3 Pro smart watches as part of the company’s major Harmony OS 2.0 announcing. Since then, we’ve had this Pro version with us for testing purposes, and now that we’ve completed all of our tests, we can tell you what worked well and what didn’t over the previous two weeks.
Review of the Huawei Watch 3 Pro
The Watch 3 series is a true smart wearable that can make calls on its own without the need for a smartphone, as opposed to the Watch 2 series. The design, construction materials, and battery life are the primary differences between the vanilla and the Pro models, and we have the more powerful version with us today.
Conceive, design, and construct
The Huawei Watch 3 Pro comes with a superior titanium casing and a 22mm standard strap, both of which are included with the device. It has a luxurious feel and a stunning appearance. Luxurious timepieces are often heavy, but our version had a nice feel on the wrist without seeming too oppressive. When you remove the strap, the entire weight is just 63 gammas!
A rubber and a metal strap are included in the box, allowing you to quickly personalize the new huawei watch 3 to match just about any outfit. If that isn’t enough, the standard straps make it simple to purchase additional straps.
The 1.43” display and the 48mm casing, on the other hand, are both very large and may be too much for those with smaller wrists. Despite the fact that the bezel surrounding the touch screen is divided into 24 parts (one for each of the 24 hours of the day), it is of little practical value with the vast majority of watch face designs.
Review of the Huawei Watch 3 Pro
The crown button on the side of the watch is likewise made of titanium, and we were impressed by the little “Huawei watch” lettering on the side. It can be used both as a scroll bar and as a button, although getting accustomed to scrolling with it takes some getting used too. Another key may be assigned to another function; the default is Workout, but it can alternatively be set to Music, Contacts, or even App Gallery depending on your preferences.
Software
The operating system is the most significant improvement over the Watch GT 2 Pro that Huawei has made with the Watch 3 Pro. It is now running Harmony OS 2.0, which adds depth to the capabilities that were previously available. Design-wise, Huawei has kept things simple, increasing just the text size to fit the larger screen – the icons have remained the same.
Review of the Huawei Watch 3 Pro
As a result of the smartwatch’s integration with the Harmony ecosystem, it is compatible with the voice assistant Celia, which is Huawei’s equivalent to Siri and Alexa. If you want to use their Watch 3 Pro to connect to the internet, you must have it linked to the internet – either via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or the e SIM included within.
